I have not officially made this public knowledge yet, so here goes….I am taking an intense one-on-one 6 month Intuitive Coaching program with an intuitive healer in town. Ahhh. Secret’s out! And, it feels so good to let it out into the entire world!
It has been amazing so far, and it is has only been 6 weeks. I am learning so much about myself, and why I am the way I am. I am working on letting go of certain issues and deep dark feelings I have had for years. I feel so much lighter now, and it has only just begun. (In fact, Deborah gave me a message from above…to listen to the song and words of “We’ve only Just Begun” by the Carpenters. how cool is that???)
So, of course, the voices are coming to me louder than ever. And, I am actually listening to them, which is awesome! One way you improve your intuition is to constantly practice-guess how much your cart of groceries will be, or who is on the phone when it rings, or what time your husband will get home, etc….always guessin, I am!
So, today, as usual, I was wondering to myself how much my groceries would be. This is how the conversation in my head went (because, of course I can’t say anything out loud, or people might start wondering about me. lol)
Me: I wonder how much my cart will be so far.
My head: $82 plus however much else you get.
Me:$82? How come you always say $82?
My head: Because you ALWAYS buy the same thing.
Me: I DO NOT….do I?
My head: YES YOU DO. cuz you’re boring that way.
ME: NO-I’m “routine oriented”.
My head: same thing, Jen!
Geez! That isn’t very nice! Calling myself boring! So, it made me think….
I have really become a routine person in the last 10 years.
I eat all the same foods.
I go on the same mile loop with the dogs every day.
I used to go to the same coffee shop every day, and order the same thing. for years!
I watch the same tv shows.
I go to the same restaurants.
(ok, I am going to stop the list now, cuz I think you get the point…)
I have become the definition of “routine”. I didn’t even think about it until now!
So, since I am changing up so many other things right now, why not this too?
*I am going to start cooking more, and will get help from the best cook I know (mom).
*I am going to start doing yoga, and do my different workouts on a much regular basis. It is good to have some routine in your life. Just not every aspect of it!
*I am going to take the dogs on DIFFERENT walks, and change it up. they will be happy, not that they really care. They still stop, sniff and pee on our normal walk, every single day. so many new smells. all. the. time. I decided today that I am going to call it an ssp instead of walk. (stop, sniff, pee)
*We are going to try different restaurants, different foods, and like it!
Tomorrow is a new month, and there are only two months left in the year. This is the perfect time to set a goal and make some changes. Too much routine makes Jen a dull girl, after all! Well, not to me, but to others. Personally, I have been fine being this way for years. But, that too must end. This course is alll about improving, and becoming better. So, there you go!
So, I will try a new restaurant, cook a new meal, and do a new workout by the end of the year!
Anyone care to join me??
Until next time….
